The Yard and Glamorous Coventry launch UNITY IN COVENTRY

The Yard and Glamorous Coventry, the city’s two LGBTQ+ bars have announced a new join venture for the community called UNITY IN COVENTRY.

Unity in Coventry is a Community Interest Company dedicated to building an inclusive and supportive environment for the LGBTQ+ community in Coventry, and to create safe, welcoming spaces where everyone is valued. Unity in Coventry is set to organise events, support services and more, for a positive change, which we welcome here at GlitterBeam as we feel it was needed for the local LGBTQ+ community.

The organisation says:

‘Unity in Coventry started with a vision to build something biggeran initiative that could unite the LGBTQUIA+ community and its allies in a powerful, collaborative way. We wanted to create more than just a space; we wanted a movement where individuals from all walks of life could come together to promote inclusivity, support, and positive change. Unity was born out of the desire to work collectively, providing a platform for everyone to contribute, celebrate diversity, and push for a more connected, empowered community.’

‘We focus on bringing people together through shared experiences, events, and support networks. We aim to create opportunities for individuals from all backgrounds to connect, share, and grow in a welcoming and inclusive environment, fostering stronger community ties.We are dedicated to uplifting individuals by providing resources, support, and opportunities for personal growth and community involvement. The organisation’s mission is summarised in 3 key points:

The official launch event is set for MONDAY THE 4th OF NOVEMBER, AT 6PM at The Yard, Coventry.

However, some events have already been announced, including a Christmas Day Get Together on the 25th of December at Glamorous Coventry.
